School Buildings

Jubilee Park Primary is a small, friendly school with a welcoming atmosphere.

Our recently refurbished foyer has a 'cheeky monkeys' theme  which was recently completed (Feb 07) by Year 1 and 2 during an art focus week with Darrell, the artist.

We have a purpose built Foundation Unit which has been completed for September 2006,

The Foundation Stage Unit has been built to accomodate our Nursery and Reception children, with its own mini ICT suite, specially designed playgrounds and areas which enrich the Foundation Stage curriculum.

Adjacent to the school is a purpose built Multi-Agency Centre.  The centre holds educational courses for parents such as Basic Skills, Aromatherapy, Keep Fit and Family Learning.  It is now also the venue for Breakfast club and Extra time Club (Extended Schools Provision)

The MAC centre is also used for booster and maths and literacy intervention groups during the school day.

As we are a one form entry school there are an additional 6 classes across school from Year 1 - 6.  We have an excellent and friendly team of teachers and learning support staff to help all pupils advance their learning.

There is a Key Stage 2 shared area designed for curriculum enhancement with another mini ICT suite.  Pupils are able to use this area for practical activities (wet area), selecting reading books and displaying their excellent artwork.

The hall is spacious, well lit and acoustically good, for our P.E., dance and Festivals/Concerts/Parents Meetings and assemblies.

Children also eat their midday meal in the hall.

School has been enhanced to incorporate a library and ICT room.

We have an administrative section to the school comprising of the central stock room, Headteacher's Office, Senior Administrator's Office, Staffroom and Medical Room.

Access to playing fields is by a single gate on to Jubilee Park itself and this offers an enormous expanse of grassed area where we hold our Sports events, play rounders or participate in Athletics Awards. The park is also used as a resource for our Environmental Studies Programme. The school also makes use of local facilities such as Tipton Sports Academy for Sports Day.

Our recently painted playground (school council initiative) means that the children are well occupied at playtimes and dinnertimes.

The school also has its own outdoor classroom and garden area.

We encourage our children to look after our school and it's grounds, and we are past holders of the "Sandwell Tidy" Trophy for schools, a tremendous achievement to come top out of all the schools in Sandwell.
