Welcome to Jubilee Park Primary School

Dear Friend,

Welcome to our website. I am sure that you will enjoy your visit and that you will be impressed by what our school has to offer.

Jubilee Park Primary School is a lively exciting place of learning and has a growing reputation within the local and educational community.  At Jubilee we work hard to raise our children's aspirations and also value the individual achievements of each child.

Here at Jubilee Park Primary School all staff are dedicated with a passion to raise standards and to improve the life chances of the children. We encourage all children to 'Reach for the Stars'.

The school has a broad and balanced curriculum that is further enhanced by exciting extra-curricular activities such as a Football Fitness, KidzOwn and Triple S Clubs, and other 'less strenuous' pursuits such as gardening club and Breakfast Club. We now also have a high quality registered childcare provision with lots of fun activities for pupils (The Extra Time Club) daily between 3:30pm until 6.00pm and children living in the surrounding area also have the opportunity to join us on the Walking Bus to travel into school. Jubilee Park Primary School also has special focus weeks when the children, staff and visiting specialists work on exciting art, technology and science projects.

At Jubilee park, we believe that good attendance improves the life chances of children and enables them to achieve their full potential.  The school's, and current Government targets, specify that  attendance should be around 95% for the academic year and does allow for genuine illnesses.  From September 2007, we will be asking parents to support us in providing medical evidence for all absences if a child's attendance is 90% or below. (Click here to read guidance notes about unavoidable school closures.)

We value the networking and links with other institutions. We are part of a local School to School Network and work closely with two other Sandwell schools to improve standards and develop the curriculum. Jubilee is also a networked 'Learning Community School.' This is a national research based project focusing on how children learn.

The school recently underwent a successful Ofsted Inspection in March 2007 in which we were judged as is providing a satisfactory education, whilst good leadership and management ensuring that it is on an upward trend. All aspects of work within the school are either described as satisfactory or good and are detailed in the final report. Full copies are available on request from the front office, through the link on this website or directly from OFSTED at www.ofsted.gov.uk.

All visitors are welcome in school. We operate an open door policy and I am more than willing to meet you and give a personal guided tour of our great school! You can contact us by post, phone or e mail.

Best Wishes

Mrs H. Conner BEd (Hons) NPQH
