Responsible Internet Use

The school is always upgrading its access to the Internet as part of further curriculum development for ICT, plus the need to in enhance children's ICT skills further, and is continuing to provide safe, supervised access to the Internet for all ages 5-11, during curriculum time.  Additionally, children from year 3 onwards may be given the opportunity to e-mail other school children within a safe, filtered system.

There have been concerns about children's access to undesirable materials and as a school we are taking positive action to deal with this. The school Internet access is a safe, filtered system that restricts access to unsuitable materials.

However, whilst every effort is made to ensure that the children do not have access to any undesirable materials, neither the school, nor the LA, can be held responsible for the nature or content of the materials that are accessed through the Internet. Additionally, the school or LA will not be liable under any circumstances for any damages arising from your child's use of the Internet facilities.

Should you have any further questions about the use of the Internet in school, please do not hesitate to contact the headteacher to discuss your concerns.
